We Only Take One Family At A Time

I started years ago as a foster mom for a local rescue group that rescued dogs with serious medical needs.  I fostered and nurtured one German Shepard thru life-threatening health issues for over a year, to a full recovery, so that he could be adopted. I love all dogs, and have raised several from pup to adulthood.  I have no breed preferences, each breed is unique, and every dog is special. I only board pets from one family at a time (up to 3 dogs) so your pups are the center of attention.

This is the place if your dog is "pet selective" and prefers not having other dogs around they do not know. I don't have any pets of my own here (or small children) and there is no interaction with any neighborhood dogs or cats.

My house sits on just under 3 acres so there is much to explore, plenty of wildlife and wonderful smells for your pet to enjoy as we walk around the property grounds. We do not have a fenced in yard, but do have several very long "tie-down" leads staked to the ground (when not walking on a leash), so they can hang outside with me while I work in the yard.  Your pet will never be left outside unattended.  

We have a large fully-enclosed deck off the kitchen that they can access to wander in and out as they please. The pups love hanging out on the deck.. especially when the squirrels are out there. I am retired and home full time with the pups. My adult son lives here with me (he is a graduate student) and is a wonderful dog walker and second person here to help care for your pet. We are always kind, patient and flexible to meet your needs and that of your dog. One, or both of us, is usually here at home with your dog. While your pet is here they are part of the family, and enjoy all the benefits of a safe and loving home. We keep plenty of extra supplies here, from food/water bowls to plenty of stuffed animals, toys and treats. We have extra food, dog beds, cushions, blankets, leashes, etc. 

Both my son and I love to send tons of photos and text updates of your pet so that you can see what they are up to while they are on vacation here.
